Contracts and Procurement Officer (Maternity Cover)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts and Procurement Officer to work on a 6 months maternity cover contract with a growing organisation and thriving team based in Salford, Manchester.  

CPC is a well-established not-for-profit organisation with an excellent reputation in the Education sector. We are proud to provide our Colleges, Academies and Schools members with specialist advice on best procurement practices and how to obtain best value for money. The CPC team is made up of experienced and dedicated procurement experts who offer support and guidance on producing EU-tendered purchasing frameworks. CPC frameworks cover a wide variety of products and services and our aim is to continue to develop this portfolio in line with our members'needs. 

Reporting to the Contracting Manager and working within a dynamic team you will offer specialist advice and guidance to our members on the acquisitions of goods or services.  You will manage and monitor assigned frameworks and engage with suppliers to identify opportunities whilst delivering value for money.

This role will suit a candidate who has relevant experience of working within a professional purchasing environment undertaking a range of EU tenders, however we would consider recent graduate who is working towards a procurement qualification.

You will have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
